What would one do if there seemed to be a heart attack or problem and they were in the wilderness – high altitude hut. (besides coming down-what to do there and then?) Thx -N

Scott; I heard of your efforts today on Aspen Public Radio. Good for you! Please include information on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) and screening for early atherosclerosis which take the lives of so many young, athletic men due to sudden acute cardiac arrhythmia. We all know the frequent reports of athletes who drop dead on the field or court, or in the case of my 32 year old son, in the shower after a tennis match. Read the article in Slate by Dr. Darshak Sanghavi, a pediatric cardiologist (http://www.slate.com/id2210332/). In addition to lipid screening, an EKG is essential for young and adult males. Again, there are no outward symptoms or warning signs of this genetic disorder present in 1 in 500. Thanks for raising awareness. RJ
